Overlaying 100G over existing cloud core system… Below are my questions:

  1. Existing
    Cloudcore router CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC

    it’s 10G SFP+ port still open

Adding
100 Gigabit networking with L3 Hardware Offloading

it’s 25G SFP28 port

I have a 10G SFP+ on one side and 25G SFP28 port on other side…

  1. How do I breakout 25G SFP28 to two 10G SFP+ ports?
  2. Will this cable connect directly between a SFP28 and SFP+ port?
    XS+DA0003 Direct attach cable that supports not only SFP 1G and SFP+ 10G, but also the 25G SFP28 standard!

You can’t, a SFP28 port has 1TX+1RX lane so can only connect to one port.

It may be possible to use two of a QSFP28 ports 4TX+4RX lanes with a breakout cable to connect to two SFP+ ports when set to 40Gbps (4x10Gbps).
