Bridge problem (Noob)

Hey,
after changing my mikrotik routerboard to become a bridge I have lost WiFi and access to the router! so I can’t roll it back to DHCP without reseting it!?

I am on a mac so no WinBox available.
I can’t login via browser or SSH to 192.168.88.1 (also tried many different ip addresses)

The DHCP role is now taken over by the ISP router witch I don’t have access to.

ifconfig doesn’t tell me much:

en4: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
options=10b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_HWTAGGING,AV>
ether 68:5b:35:98:1b:62
inet6 fe80::6a5b:35ff:fe98:1b62%en4 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x5
inet 91.144.210.242 netmask 0xfffffc00 broadcast 91.144.211.255
nd6 options=1
media: autoselect (100baseTX )
status: active

How can I get access to it without reset?? HELP!

You can Use WinBox under OS X… see how to prepare it by yourself

Once you have it running, go to Winbox Neighbors tab, you should see the router appearing there. If it doesn’t:

  • If you’re using a laptop plugged by ethernet, disable wireless on the mac.
  • Try plugging the laptop to a different routerboard ether port
  • Try entering the routerboard ether port MAC by hand on Winbox “Connect to” field.

Hey pukkita,
Thank you for your reply, I will try that as soon as I come home from work and write about the results.
