Bypass school proxy for internet access on smart tv's

Hey Guys,

I’m pretty new to mikrotik. I hope you can assist me.

Scenario
School accesses the internet via a proxy address e.g proxy.school.gov.za port 1234. If this setting is not entered under internet options under proxy settings they cant surf the web.

The issue i have now is the tv’s don’t have advanced settings to put in the proxy settings so i want to setup a mikrotik router to bypass the proxy in order for the tv’s to have internet.
Please help…

Why don’t you do it the right way, i.e. Log a call with whoever does the IT and explain the problem so it be dealt with

Concur with CZFAN, unless you are school IT, then
a. one shouldn’t bring their own devices to hook up to the school network
b. should request IT support for legitimate requirements (which would be supported by the applicable teacher(s)
