Cannot access RB951ui remotely thru Cloud and USB 4G modem

Hi,

I’m trying to manage my RB951ui v6.41 RC13 remotely over a USB modem 4G connection.

When i enable CLOUD i get DNS address but it shows the message:
DDNS server received request from IP 177.176.xxx.xxx but your local IP was 100.102.xxx.xxx; DDNS service might not work.

And when i try to connect it doesn’t work.

I’ve seen some tutorials explaining how to do it if i use a configurable WAN device, like this one
https://agratitudesign.blogspot.com/2015/03/understanding-ip-cloud-access-router.html#prettyPhoto/4/
But it doesn’t seem to apply to my case.

Are there anyways to make this work ? If not, which are my alternatives ?

ps: it would be nice if i could search the forums for an entire ordered sentence like “DDNS server received request from IP”. When i search like this it returns the ocurrences that have these keywords (not necessarily in order)

Thanks

Your 4G usb dongle sounds like is has NAT and that is why it is not getting the true WAN IP from your provider.

if you can log into the device and it has a dmz option, enter the mikrotiks ip in the dmz field. if you cannot you may need to get a unit like the following which should allow DMZ to be set.
