I have reset this board ive downgraded it to 2.9.51 and put user manager on there.
Ive used 3.6 with user manager installed there.
However every time i try access the user manager i get prompted for user/pass at which i enter however the next page it takes me to is not the User Manager.
I simply get…
“Error 501: Not Implemented”
What could be preventing me from accessing the userman?
This is even happening with an entirely different board.
Cannot use user manager…
Nobody else have this problem?
Ok so i did some research about this “Error 501: Not Implemented” message and found following..

Now i have followed these instructions and am still not able to get much further.
I did find out that someone on my same network is indeed able to access it.
However i have tried from 3 different pc’s myself 2x xp pro, 1x vista.
Tried ie7
Firefox
Opera
All same issue.
Is this maby not an issue created by a windows update?
All computers are fully updated.
Nobody else have this issue?
Ok so i have found the issue with this, and although it indicates an ID10T error on my part, it might indicate a bug on ROS that is non critical.
We developed our own system similar to the user manager and our interface is available through.
http://routerip/user_admin
Now without thinking thats the same address i was using for trying to access the ROS user manager.
Which as you guessed it doesn’t work!
Looks like Mikrotik did create additional aliases within their web server to accommodate for miss pelt cases, but these aliases don’t in fact work.
So even though that brings up the User manager login page one cannot login.
It was only after couple of tries that i noticed i was in fact typing address incorrectly.
What caused the confusion was that the page DID in fact open up and simply login didn’t work.
So http://routerip/userman is the rite one…
How silly
