Hello,
Since version 7.2.22 of RouterOS, I have been unable to update my CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS; I get the error “kernel failure in previous boot.”
I submitted the autosupout.rif file in two bug reports, SUP-217734 and SUP-219487, but even the first one—which was filed over a year ago—hasn’t received a response. The issue is now significant in terms of the PPP server service.
How can I get a response from Mikrotik?
I can't install the long-term version, 7.21.5, either.
It doesn't work for me -> CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS can't update to latest ROS - #2 by smitas3400
I successfully updated the router by rebooting it. Then, as soon as it was back in Winbox, I placed the .npk file for version 7.23.2 in the “files” folder, rebooted it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, and the update was completed.
Managed upgrade for ROS to the latest long-term:
to clarify process - for the reference:
- latest ros6
- v7.12.1
- v7.16.2
- v7.21.5
- download MUST be performed manually (/tool fetch) to save intermediate memory
- bootloader should be upgraded on each step to optimize to optimize disk layout.
