I have MikroTik L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN routers running RouterOS v7.
I needed to connect them via CAPsMAN to a MikroTik hEX (5x Gigabit Ethernet, Dual-Core 880MHz CPU, 256MB RAM, USB, microSD, RouterOS L4).
However, the hEX does not support the wifi-qcom package and is running RouterOS v6, which only has the wireless package. Since the L009 routers only work with wifi-qcom, I couldn’t connect them via CAPsMAN.
I also have a newer router, MikroTik RB1100AHx4, but it’s also running RouterOS v6.
Can I connect these L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN routers to the MikroTik RB1100AHx4 using CAPsMAN?
Upgrade either Hex or RB1100 to at least ROS7.13 (preferably latest stable).
No need to add wifi-qcom package after ROS 7.13 since basic hooks for capsman are present then.
Or … use one of the L009 devices as capsman controller (it can also handle local radio).
Lates update for hex is 2025 year stable 6.49.18 from “Check updates”. You mean download v7 from micrtik site and install? I update hex for 7.19 but steel can’t connect l009.
No , my mistake. I coonected =) Thank
