Is there no longer a tx-power setting under 7.18.2 in Capsman (Wifi), but only max-tx-power?
I have two cAPax devices… one in a room measuring approx. 15 m² (transmitting at 22 dBm) and one in an adjacent room measuring approx. 50 m² (transmitting at 16 dBm). The rooms are separated by glass and reinforced concrete, which is why two APs are mounted on the wall and transmit into the room. I can get one down from 22 to max-Tx-Power 18, but the other one, which I want to increase to 18dBm, remains at 16dBm. All 2.4GHz interfaces run at 14dBm.
AP with 16dBm: 5180 20/40/80MHz (2437 for 2,4GHz/20MHz with 14dBm)
AP with 18dBm (reduced by config from 22dBm): 5500 20/40/80MHz (2412 for 2,4GHz/20MHz with 14dBm)

PS: Antenna gain ist not set, should i set it ?
You could have chosen wAP AX.
More suited for wall mounting (even better: in a corner) and has a radiation pattern directed mostly away from that wall (90-120 degrees).
Also, but that’s personal taste, wAP AX is a lot more pleasing on a wall then that huge UFO which (let’s be honest) cAP AX is.
I only use cAP AX in meeting rooms and warehouse environments, ceiling mounted.
You CAN use them wall mounted but it’s not the best way.
... because the answer was given (Tx power depends on actual Tx frequency used so you'll have to manage frequencies manually to optimize coverage). But some of us, forum members, are close to chatterboxes so we tend to continue with discussion even though it becomes OT.
That is correct. If you "need" higher TxPower, you will have to set frequency to something between 5490 and 5730.
Antenna gain should only be set on devices with detachable antennas.
