Hi all!
I’ve been trying to find how to big is the CAM(Content Addressable Memory) table size on the CCR 1036 with no luck. Would appreciate if anyone can help.
Thanks!

Hello,
it depends on your RAM and your NAND size in my eyes.
16GB is not the maximum on CCR.
Until you will find 16 GB DDR3 SODIMM modules that can be inserted,
it will be the limitation, setted up by size of the available modules on the market.
Kingston (of course) has them.
I’m not sure if I’m not mistaken but I thing that CAM or TCAM is a part of ASIC chipsets in really bigboxes like Juniper EX4550 or Extreme Networks X670 or some similar class of the box. On the other side CCR is a software based solution where routing decisions are made by CPU (tiler64) ?!
If not, please, correct me.
Hi Kreacher,
Thanks for your reply.
Hi marsark,
That may explain why I’m not able to find any information on CAM/TCAM for CCR. If anyone can confirm this, it would be good.

Kokpin
There is no CAM or TCAM in any MT products; the FIB (and everything else) is stored in conventional DRAM.
Despite being quite fast, the CCR is still a software router.
