Hello
I have noticed on a 2004 that now exists R3 release with 4x 2000MHz CPU.
The datasheet on the site shows 1700mhz

I was waiting for a CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS refresh, so I’m glad to hear this exists… while we wait for a major hardware replacement

Confirmed! The new r3 CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS comes with CPU running @2GHz !
Probably CPU manufacturer improved its manufacturing process.
But in order, to keep all the certifications, and customs clearences MikroTik stayed with same product code.
And in order to keep all the customers happy, frequency remained. it is better that some clients get 300Mhz unexpected bonuses, that other customers complain about 300Mhz missing.
Similar things has happened with storage and RAM on other products over the years

I’ve ordered one of these from a local Australian supplier. I’ll see if there are any other major changes.
i just hope ccr2004-16g-2s+ soon can receive same refinement
currently ccr2004 does not have a too good price to performance ratio in comparison with the rest of the Router lineup, with this refinement they can make much more sense
and maybe on the passive version a little bump to 1400-1500mhz will be nice to be on par with rb5009

I recently got a few new CCR2004-16G-2S+ and I confirm that they are r3 revision, have 2000MHz CPU and they also got back the USB3 connector which was missing during Covid chip shortages (revision r2).
Which supplier has the revision 3? I’d like to get one to replace my existing router.
