i tried to check if the board has desame as 1016 or 1036 that can be hard reset via routerboard …but i dont see these on 10009 versions…
any ideas? thanks
thanks for the respond…its not desame these one is a 1009-7g-1c-1s+…
the 1009-8g-1s-1s+ these are bit older… but base on cheking on the board there kinda identical…
is it possible to use those method on 1009-8g-1s-1s+?
Yes, of course, these kind of buttons are common to many PCB’s, not only Mikrotik’s ones, you can remove the (failed) button and then use some tweezers to make contact to reset, then finding a replacement button and re-solder it should be not difficult (if needed).
Those are NO (normally open) contacts, so, unless it is stuck pressed it might be not the reason for the bootloop, but to be sure removing/desoldering it (or what remains of it) is anyway a good idea.
Usually curved (insulated but that is not really needed) tweezers like these: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10602
are used, and from the other side (i.e. with the hand not over the PCB) but yes that will work just fine.
