CCR2004-16G-2S+ and Downgrade

Hello
I upgraded to the current Beta, but I am having issues where my modem is crashing. I want to downgrade to confirm if it is an issue with the router, or if its a bad modem from Bell Canada.

I put the two files on the router, routeros-7.8-arm64 and wifiwave2-7.8-arm64. I then goto System/Packages and select downgrade. (Note, the uploaded files are not showing) It confirms downgrade and says it will reboot. I click Ok.

It disconnects and reboots. However, it doesnt downgrade. If I upload the files and select Restore from the files menu, it says Do you want to restore configuration and reboot. Select Yes, and you get an error, Couldnt restore configuration, file not found.

What am I doing wrong here.

After trying to downgrade by executing the procedure you described, if router fails to downgrade, check log.

And an idea: first check the list of installed packages. Upgrade/downgrade procedure requires files with all packages currently installed. If you have any of wifi-qcom packages or wireless package, you’ll gave to uninstall those first because they don’t exist in 7.8.

Thank you so much @mkx. that was the trick, needed to uninstall a wifi package. worked like a charm.
