Hi,
i use some RB2011 RM for my homenetwork with capsman and to ap… hAP ac and hAP ac lite…
i have nat and some input filter rules on my vdsl2 100/40 line…
the speed on bridged wlan with ac are not more than 224mbit netto today…
do you think a jump on the new rb3011 will make me happy ? is it much faster for this things ? is the rb2011 realy to slow for capsman with 2 AC ap ?
after i disabled the lcd display is not like 100% prozesses but…
speedtest.net with my mobile device over ac on 100mbit down is like 90% CPU (Networking, Firewall, Ethernet, Management load)
local ftp or afp transfer with notebook over ac… 230-250mbit only 50% CPU (Networking, Ethernet, management load)
i think the rb2011 has much to do but its not too much and not the reason for this low speed over capsman ?!?!?!
a: internetmodem → RB2011 → TP-Gigabitswitch → hAP AC
or
b: internetmodem → RB2011 → hAP AC
?!?!
whats the highest bridge speed for capsman wifi ac clients on rb2011 ?
about 220mbit is the max netto speed the CPU is about 50% by traffic over capsman clients
is it limitet by hardware ? no ip firewall on bridge activatet… fastpath is enabled…
Both wiring schemes are valid, all capsman needs is contiguous L2 between the CAPs and the Manager.
However, I’d rule out the TPlink if it’s in place, connect HAP ac directly to any of the 2011 gigabit ports.
AFAIK CAPsMAN interfaces don’t support fastpath.
There are lots of possible external factors (interference) that may affect wireless performance. Do you get more throughput if you set the Hap AC as standalone AP?
