Currently I have a wan port with a static ip with a /30 to a new ip with a /28 and I get no internet on the lan interface. I also tested a single ip with my laptop and then used that new ip on the router and still no net.
The router is a RB5009UG+S+
Is there a question here or just a statement? If you changed the IP and it quit working, it's not the MikroTik . . .
If you can ping the Internet from the router, check the firewall to see what is blocking traffic.
That's a good suggestion, I'll do that.
Did you also change the default gateway matching your new IP address and prefix length?
Yes, I did that. I think its the firewall NAT settings as suggested.
