I just bought a couple of 5G routers to select which one is the best for me. My favorite was the Chateau 5G, but currently this device is even wrose the LTE only one I bought.
So currently I’m testing these devices:
ZTE 5G Hyperbox MC801A
Zyxel 4G LTE-A Indoor WLAN-Router
Zyxel 5G NR 4.67 Gbps Indoor Router | AX3600 WiFi 6 Route (FW510)
Chateau 5G ax
Well, the Chateau is locked at 150-170Mbit Download (no matter if tested over ethernet or wifi). No matter what I’m doing. Well the configuration is overwhelming, and I needed at least over 1 hour to get my Telekom APN working.
The screenshots are made at same time (well, nearly), same location of the device, same 5G card. The location is not the best, but the difference is huge. Tested devices: Zyxel FW510 and Chateau 5G ax.
What did I do so far:
APN Configuration:
Upgraded RouterOS to 7.11. And checked if there is new firmware for modem RG502Q-EA (there was no update).
I searched a lot for hints and found some of them, but for me it looks like, they were meant to be for older RouterOS versions, because in my one it is also in the starting config (like add standard routing or firewall).
I’m quite sure, my information are not the needed to help but I simply don’t know where to start.
