What is the radiation pattern for the antennas used on the Chateau Pro ax? Is there something different about the flat sides vs the narrow sides?
I looked up similar antennas with posted patterns and it appears they do about ~50 degree vertical and 360 degree horizontal. Is this true for these?

Loosely, the device should have omnidirectional antennas (so 360° in the horizontal plane) emissions should have the shape of a doughnut (toroid), the higher the gain of the antenna the skinnier is the toroid, the lower the gain the chunkier it is, see:
Since the antennas are relatively low gain the doughnut should be rather thick, so the 50 degrees you mention seen possible
