802.11ax is now only supported by wifi-qcom for the versions later than 7.13.x.
Starting from 7.13, the 802.11ax APIs and CAPsMAN are only supported by wifi-qcom. But it only applies for arm and arm64, CHR is not included. Which means CHR can only stay at 7.12 if it’s used as a CAPsMAN for cAP ax. I wonder when the wireless package will support CHR.
Wifi CAPsMAN is now included in the base system package, so it can be used on CHR as well.
“wifi-qcom” or “wifi-qcom-ac” packages are not required to run Wifi CAPsMAN.
“The existing “wifiwave2” package has been divided into distinct packages: “wifi-qcom” and “wifi-qcom-ac”, and the necessary utilities for WiFi management are now included in the RouterOS bundle. RouterOS and “wifi-qcom-ac” packages alongside each other now fit into 16MB flash memory.”
