Cloud Router Switch LACP

Hi all.
Is it possible to aggregate 2 ports in LACP in hardware, without pass to CPU (with 1 gbit/s limit between CPU and switch chip)?

No… I don’t think they are planning on implementing it either. Pretty sure LACP is CPU based.

LACP is done in Switch hardware so it does not tax CPU.

What hash algorithms are supported by the hardware 802.3ad LAG’s?

In normal you can build a LAG in two ways;

  • Dynamic LAGs by using the LACP and all will be configured automatically on both ends
    mode is here even active/active in normal this will working like a charm also on my cheap Netgear
    or Cisco switches and firewalls
  • Static LAGs by setting up on both ends the configuration manually and choosing then
    the hash algorithms and active/active or active/passiv mode.

To be implementing it likes the given standards would offering it, would be even the key
in those games to win, and on top to test it with many different switches on the market
it will bring MikroTik more device on sale, in my eyes. They can name it like they want and
implement like they want it to see, but it must be compatible to the whole rest of the devices
on the market. In my eyes the best option to win new clients and serve existing clients.
