Mr routerboard is acting as an accesspoint for my main router and has its own subnet. Is it possible to connect from the main subnet (192.168.0.X) to the routerboard subnet (192.168.88.X)?
Is it just a matter of port forwarding the routerboard to the LAN IP of the RDP?
Hi, I think that I’ll try to configure that access point as a bridge instead of router, so you can have everything in the same subnet, which is enough for a home use. But if you want to keep that AP as a router, then yes it’s possible to do that, but the main questions will be if this Mikrotik is NATing its subnet? (if that’s true, then you’ll need to do some packet forwarding at the Mikrotik) ; (if not, then you’ll need to double check the routing table at both routers)
I setup a bridge using the quick config settings on the WEB GUI, however only ether2 worked, the rest of the Ether ports did not become part of the main subnet and i lost access to the routerboard gateway, which resulted in me having to reset the config.
