Couple of questions mikrotek hapax2

I have a new mikrotek hapax2 and a newcomer.

I see some solutions online and not quite finding answers that are working.

I am running 7.23.1

  1. Devices on my Guest wifi network cannot seem to get out to the internet. The wifi does get an IP address in the 192.168.2.x range. How do I control these IP address and the DHCP pool.

  2. How to I assure the guest-net cannot reach wired devices and devices on the other main (non-guest) wifi networks.

  3. It appears that my wired devices cannot reach the devices on my main wifi network? Is there anything I can do to allow them to speak to each other?

Thank you in advance.

what is mikrotek?

  1. This is not the default configuration,
so, provide the sanitized /export of the configuration

  2. firewall

  3. First you isolate them, then you want them to talk to each other...
See point 1 anyway, and provide an explanatory diagram showing how things are connected.

Instructions here:

Mikrotik is a typo. It happens all the time. For security reasons I cannot export my configuration.

I was able to figure out most of what I am looking to do from claude and google searches and brute force configuration options.

I will open a ticket forum thread for the remaining things I need to do.

Cheers

Then don't waste people's time here on the forum, there are no magicians with crystal balls.
Contact a consultant and have them sign an NDA.

rextended - Do not respond to my support requests any more. I do not need this type of abusive response.

It is rather hard for anyone to assist if you do not provide the required info.
As indicated, nobody has a crystal ball.

As a safety measure, I will close this thread since problem seems to be solved within the context of this thread and to avoid unnecessary flaming back and forth.
