Hi,
New user.
I’m playing with RouterOS on a 750GL board. While downloading at a speed of around 70 Mbit/sec, I have CPU utilization of over 50%, peaking at 85-90%.
I only have a few (<10) firewall&NAT rules.
Same configuration with DD-WRT on an TPlink1043ND ver 1 router is under 10% CPU. The CPU is equivalent in power.
Does this make sense ?
Thanks

good chance to try fast track
Thank you.
Tried FastTrack. It reduces the CPU to around 15% at 60 Mb/s incoming, which is 4 -5 times better than before. This is with default FW/NAT definitions.
I’ll see what happens with more complex definitions, if at all FT is workable.
Still DD-WRT on similar platform is only 5% CPU.

Maybe you can optimise / rethink your firewall rules. Queues and mangling consumes a lot too…
