Can someone offer advice on how to manually create a link between 2 devices or between a device and a network? It seems that all I am able to accomplish is creating a link within a device itself. In reality, our backhaul links are bridged, and as such discovery creates a seperate network segment (same logical subnet), which to me doesn’t make sense. I would like (and have seen screenshots indicating so) to create such links between devices directly. Current Dude rev is 2.0b11. Any insight is much appreciated.
Click the red plus sign in the upper left of the map and select link. Next, click and hold the mouse button one of the devices you want to create a link between and move the cursor to the other device. That’s it. You can select simpl or SNMP when the link properties box appears.
Works exactly as you indicated.
