+1 from me for that too. And on top, if you are working it out a nice CRS1072-24S with 24 SFP ports
would also be a good idea.

UP !

look here…

there are some signs of dual SFPs at least

There has been a distinct lack of reasonably priced multi-port SFP switches but TP-Link are selling a 12 SFP port managed switch:

At ~ 200 EUR / 250 USD it has certainly moved the price/performance point for multi-port SFP switches. Not to say that a multi-port SFP router wouldn’t still be useful!

more like a switch with 24 sfp and 2 SFP+, perfect for active ethernet ftth deployments.

after that a 72 core tile 4x sfp 8x sfp+ router. great backbone router for ftth projects. 4x 1000/1000 BGP links out to the internet and the switching/routing bandwidth needed for IPTV+Stupid fast internet.

We already have CRS switch with two SFP ports: http://routerboard.com/CRS226-24G-2SplusIN

CRS226: Two SFP+ cages (SFP+1 supports 1.25G and 10G modes, SFP+2 supports only 10G mode)

This is a big disadvantage for us. In the existing (star) network would need to change SFP modules on both sides.
