CRS304-4XG-IN is amazing,and CRS304-8XG-IN will be release?

CRS304-4XG-IN is amazing, 10G Ethernet ports, fanless, no noise, no poe. suitable for home use. And CRS304-8XG-IN will be release? 4 network ports may not be enough for home use, 8 is just enough. CRS304-8XG-IN price, 299 dollar?

I’d love to see a crossover between CRS304-4XG-IN and CRS305-1G-4S+IN. Maybe 4 RJ45 ports and 1 or even better 2 SFP+ ports?

Maybe you’re right, but that means a higher price. I think for families, more RJ45 ports are more practical. For example, in the following scenario, you have a Synology NAS, an Apple desktop, an Apple TV, and three mess routers, 8 RJ45 is enough.

Desktops with RJ45 2.5GbE or 5GbE, file servers with fiber 10GbE

Why not all to 10g network? The unified use of RJ45 can make the network simpler. Most home environments do not use AP, so there is no need to support PoE power supply.

Power usage and hardware costs.

An outdoor version of this with POE (and maybe one SFP+ port), like the outdoor version of the CRS305, would be pretty sweet too.
