Do you have knowledge what kind of cables do work reliably for Mikrotik … except Mikrotik ones of course ![]()
I tried CISCO and HP refubrished ones but they link @1Gb only despite any combination of port settings.
Hi,
Between CSS610, CRS306,CRS309, CCR2004, RB5009 I was using cheap 10G Chinese cables from 10GTek and H!Fibre, from 25cm to 4m. They all worked flawlessly. I used different (recent 6.49>, 7.2>, SWOS2.14) RoS and SWOS versions.
Reading the reports about SFP+ issues make me wonder if that was only pure luck.

I use FS.com DAC with generic coding as that is what is recommended for Mikrotik and thy work great at 10G for years. I also have the FSBox to program their DAC cables as well as their optics. It’s quite handy to program each side of a DAC to the desired brand.I also use solid-optics.com brand DAC with Mikrotik fine.
I’ve had success with 10GTek, HiFiber, and FS.com as well.
I’m using two passive DACs, one from Curvature and other from Arista Networks. Both work between the CCR2004-16G-2S+PC and two MELLANOX MNPA19-XTR 10Gb NICs.
Using some MikroTik S+AO0005 and MikroTik XS+DA0003 for some time now without any problems.
DId I miss something and there are problems with Mikrotik ones?
