You shouldn’t experience any issues. The only issue would that a small portion of the F20’s and F50’s shipped between May 2009 and Aug 2009 are exhibiting transmitter signal degradation at low temperatures (below -10C). This problem will degrade the link quality and cause uncertain latency and throughput. But we have fixed this issue and replaced all cards that might’ve had this issue.
You’re welcome to e-mail me lawrence [at] dbii [dot] com if you have any issues, use the forum. Or if you just want free samples to test and compare with other products.
Hi Lawrence,
Your products look great, I had a good look at them at the Titan Wireless stand at the USA MUM and was very impressed by the quality of the PCB and layout.
Lucky, you get to live and work in Taiwan! Cant wait to get back there and go to Nantou province again.
Thanks for the comment. I’m glad you liked it…we try hard to make sure the quality is good.
If you need anything just give me a holler.
They work great with Mikrotik. However with the Gateworks 2347 and Ikarus using 18V POE they reboot 5 and 6 times a day. Of course Ikarus support is non existent. Needless to say we don’t use them anymore. I still have about 100 of them in the network. As they fail or get struck by lightning we replace them with the 411.
don’t use “them” anymore? gateworks, ikarus, dbii ? which one ![]()
I’m assuming your talking about the F50 card? The F50 should be similar to the XR5 as Dbii owner is the former co-founder of Ubiquiti. So, if you are referring to Gateworks 2347, Ikarus 18V…have you tried it with XR5? Does that cause reboot as well?
I have not used them with XR5 I have used the SR4 with no problems.
Gateworks and Ikarus.
