In the old version of RouterOS you can go to the web management and automatically create basic firewall rules. What is the procedure in the latest RouterOS versions? What are the basic firewall rules, can someone post them here? Thank you.
Default firewall rules are a part of the factory default config for most RouterOS devices that ship configured as NAT routers. The firewall rules and other defaults are described in this wiki article.
You can get the rules back by upgrading to at least 5.xx (maybe earlier too?) and factory resetting, but I don’t think there’s a way to create them automatically through the web interface. You could always just copypaste the firewall script from the wiki article, though.
