Determine ROS version from configuration backup file

Is there any way to determine the version of ROS that created a configuration backup file?

no, the backup file is not readable, and you can’t find the version from it. I always recommend to also create an Export file, which is human readable

I upgraded to V4.1 and am having serious problems with DHCP on our LAN when the router is connected to the LAN. (See post http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/version-4-1-dhcp-issues/32380/1 ) I want to downgrade, but can’t remember the exact version I upgraded from. 3.27 or 3.3. I did a backup just before the upgrade. Obviously I need to keep better change management records. I’ll also start doing backups and exports together.
