It would be nice if MT included a “simple” DNS server like dnsmasq (without the DHCP). Yes, I know, the RouterOS is not a server, it performs tasks. I would consider DNS a task. It already has RADIUS, which is another task. I think a Hotspot should be secure. I would like to setup a Hotspot and disallow those users total access to the rest of the network. If I could assign them a DNS server, that is actually the RouterOS, through DHCP they would not need access to the real network. I’m only looking for security here. I don’t want a user hopping onto the hotspot and start attacking other computers or my servers.
