draytek 2710n and RB751 and PPPoE

Evening,

I have been trying all day to get these to work together.

I have used the Draytek 2710 for a while for ADSL and works fine but my local area will be FTTC enable shortly so I thought I would get me a routerboard as I have been wanting to for a while and use the Draytek as a modem.

Turns out its not that simple.

I work for an ISP so had access to some modems.

I set up the 751 in my lunch break using a speedtouch 536 as a modem and work quickly and relatively easily.

I get my kit home and set my Draytek to pass-through mode and then my trouble started.

It just refuses to connect.

the log is full of

I used the webfig to configure the device but this is the output from the terminal.

[admin@MikroTik] /interface pppoe-client> print
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
0 name=“pppoe-out1” max-mtu=1480 max-mru=1480 mrru=1500 interface=ether1-gateway user=“user@zen” password=“xxxxxxxx” profile=default service-name=“” ac-name=“” add-default-route=yes
dial-on-demand=no use-peer-dns=yes allow=chap

I have set the mrru to 1500 as per a different users problems but I just cant get it to connect.

I have tried different cables also.

my question is, has anyone used the draytek 2710 as a modem before and what settings do they normally need.

I have tried all possible combinations on the draytek with no luck.
