Emulate hAP ac and hEX in QEMU

I’d like to set up a test environment in GNS3 and like to emulate the hardware I will use to implement the environment for real. I’m planning to use two Mikrotik hEX, to set up a IPSEC VPN site-to-site tunnel, and some Mikrotik hAP ac to gain Wi-Fi-access. I’m using QEMU to create virtual hardware. My question is, what components/packages should I select to emulate a real hEX or hAP ac?

Both those routers support all the packages shown above, so you can install any you require.

However, you will not be able to emulate the actual hardware performance of those devices.

The hEX doesn’t include any wireless hardware AFAIK, so I guess it won’t need the “wireless@”-package at least?

Even boards without wireless hardware can install wireless package and it doesn’t have to be useless (see CAPsMAN). Either find out which packages have features you need, or install everything and simply ignore some settings. It’s not like if would be mixed together without being apparent what comes from which package.
