Encrypted communication

Hello,

I’m new on the Mikrotik and I should ask how to make an encrypted channel between two devices.

I have two Mikrotik hAP ac lite RB952Ui-5ac2nD devices
I would like to create encrypted communication between ROUTER A and ROUTER B.
The connection looks like in the picture:

Is this possible?
Do not you have “step by step” instructions?

I would think that creating a VPN between devices and subnets between two directly connected MT units should be simple.
Just to confirm that you need the second MT unit to also be a router and not just a switch??
In other words why does MT2 need to be a router??

If they are both in router mode I wonder if this is also a great case for potentially an EOIP connection??

It’s not necessary.
The second device (ROUTER B) must be an AP that assigns IP addresses from DHCP.
It also seemed simple, but unfortunately it still does not work :slight_smile:

setup a tunnel with encryption on top of the vlan.
IPIP + IPSEC would work just fine (for the ipsec part, just specify a pre-shared key on both sides)

Another option, now I think of it, CAPsMan with encrypted channel to AP.
