ERROR: System ID on this CHR has been regenerated multiple times - please create new installation

Hi guys

We use many CHR in our core and license at P1 through P10 as needed.

We’ve create a VMM template to deploy CHR HyperV instances with base config in place already. After using the template a few times, we’ve come up against this message:

ERROR: System ID on this CHR has been regenerated multiple times - please create new installation

Is there any way we can reset this and be able to register a new license? If not it makes our deployment process much more cumbersome.

I had exactly this issue a couple of weeks ago and contacted support about it (Ticket # SUP-16818)
They say there is no way around this and advise a fresh install :frowning:
Totally agree on being cumbersome. Where feasible, we’re going back to basic x86 images.
