In our company for we have a few wireless extenders (Linksys, OpenWRT, Dlink etc); all of them used to work fine with an RB-953GS driven wlan before ROS v6.38.xx
A year ago I updated the 953GS to newer ROS and none of the extenders works since then.
They connect and authenticate to 953GS wlan but never getting an IP from its DHCP server. Yes, the well known problem with “dhcp-lan offering lease xx.xx.xx.xx for yy.yy.yy.yy to zz.zz.zz.zz without success”
I tried all tricks like turning off STP on lan bridge, setting an admin mac address and the rest stuff without success.
Why this problem is still unfixed a year or more after it was first appeared? All those extenders work great with our UBNT driven primary wireless network, as well with an OpenWRT based one of my lab and my own pfsense driven home network. And as I said, they used to work with no issues with pre-6.3x RouterOS.
Any known workaround for this serious problem? I’ve seen dozens of users reporting this issue but no solution found yet.
@MikroTik guys: Could you please give some advice?
