How does the external fdb works? Im worried about why some of my bridges are forwarding packets to an ethernet port which have nothing connected to… I have noticed that some of my bridges have some “E” entrys on the “hosts” tab which says “external-fdb” and some bridges do not show any entrys with a “E” flag. Should I use stp or rstp? My bridges are not connected in loop, but in line. Could someone please help? I didnt figure out why some of my bridges are forwarding all that traffic to a unconnected ethernet port. Seems the bridge dont have a forward database and is flooding the ether1. Thanks in advance.
i.e:
MTbox1 (Problem):
ether1 as bridge port (nothing connected, but show a tx bit rate about 1000kbps and zero rx bit rate);
ether2 as bridge port (incoming traffic about 1000kbps);
wlan1 as bridge port (output traffic about 1000kbps)
MTbox2 (OK):
ether1 as bridge port (incoming traffic about 1000kbps);
ether2 as bridge port (nothing connected, but show a tx bit rate 0 and rx bit rate 0);
wlan1 as bridge port (output traffic about 1000kbps)
