I’m running Sierra Wireless 3G USB modem on RB411U and I want to extract information like signal strength, model of modem, operator to use them in a script.
i can get these information by clicking on INFO tab but I can’t extract these values. I tried
interface ppp-client info telsta file aaa.txt command export these values to a file but the created does not contain these values.
Any suggesion would be appreciated.
Most of these values are returned by “monitor” command.
Has anyone had any success extracting the signal strength?
I tried using “info” and “monitor” but cant figure how the signal value is extracted.
I’m keen as m2m has said, to use in scripting to deliver signal strengths to our central monitoring facility.

Hey guys, I can`t connect my ZTE MF112 3G modem. Error log is:
09:35:14 async,ppp,info ZTE: disconnected
09:35:14 async,ppp,info ZTE: initializing...
09:35:14 async,ppp,info ZTE: waiting for packets...
09:35:14 async,ppp,error could not add ipv6 address: std failure: broken path (2)
Maybe baud rate is not right?
