Failure with hAP AC3 WiFi coverage

Answer: Why doesn’t it allow me to change the country on the 5g wifi. Always go to Canada2

I have seen this before, some users will paint themselves in a corner. And I warned Mikrotik they had created a trap, by removing “antenna gain” correction factor from the WinBox GUI interface.
This makes the “antenna gain correction factor” current setting invisible via the GUI.

And then the trap. If somebody did set the antenna gain correction factor to a low value (as far as ROS these days still allows this for some devices with removable antenna).
Then suddenly changing region/country fails. Because to have the new setting accepted all topics “Frequency mode, country, Installation, antenna gain” should all be in the allowed range for that device and region.

How to get a clue of what is stopping this, e.g. that the antenna gain is set too low as required for that mode and country/region , if it is not shown in the GUI?

And NO Mikrotik, the “antenna gain” as set in ROS, is NOT the physical antenna gain characteristic. For legal EIRP level calculation the value set must be equal or larger than that physical gain.
(Which is enforced on MT devices with non-removable antenna)

Its getting burried deeper and deeper. One will need “print terse” or “export verbose” to see the current value.

Some versions of MT hardware are country locked (eg. US specific executions), but “canada2” is not expected here.
