I know we can run a script on the server side, but it would be great if we could specify an on-lease script for a DHCP-Client. This would be really helpful for Dynamic DNS so I can trigger the update script when my client actually acquires a lease from my ISP instead of scheduling it to run every N minutes.

No it doesn’t. It has a feature on the dhcp server to run a script when it hands out a lease, but not on the dhcp client side.

That would be nice if whatever action or state change could trigger a script. Not only receiving ip but generally whatever.
