This is my remarks on the dude usage:

  • As already mentionned, move elements from a map to another.
  • Move a link from an element to another, without loosing graph datas.
  • Assign rights per users on different maps ? Panels ?
  • Assign a root map per user.
  • When moving Dude from a computer to another with XML backup, server settings seems not to be on backup.
  • See, copy paste scripts sources.

Another feture request regarding links: make it so you can create an SNMP link that gets it’s SNMP data from another source then one of the link ends.

Example:
This is handy if you’ve created a link between a manageable router and a ‘network cloud’ device and then connect several PC’s to that cloud. I would then like the links to be able to use SNMP data from the switch, but this is currently not possible. (Connecting all links directly to a 48 port switch [or even a 24 port one] will crowd the map too much.)
