Please paste a FINAL firewall code for virus protection and make it sticky!!
THX
it could not be Final firewall code, as new viruses are created.
Moreover firewall will not protect customers workstations from all know viruses.
Firewall may help you to drop specific traffic/viruses,
you can find firewall configuration example in demo.mt.lv router.
address: demo.mt.lv
login: demo
you can add required rules, if you need.
Serejs,
Is the Demo router still available?
If yes what is the user name and password?
I’m trying userid=demo.mt.lv and passw=demo
Thanks
Deborah
Try with login demo and without password, it should work fine.
Doesn’t work. I get ¨std failure: not allowed (9)¨
i try it too but i got invailed user name and password
i try user :demo and without passworfd
I tried both of them, there is no any problems with them.
¨Tried both of them¨??? Which ¨both¨?
Login (top field) is ¨Demo¨
password field is left empty
Anyway, I still cannot log in. Same error comes up and if I try any other password it comes back with ´wrong password and or username¨.
So, I am knocking at its door but its kept shut…
Anybody else that could enter?
I tried this now
User : demo without password and got this msg( std failure: not allowed (9) )
Your ISP blocking winbox port to demo.mt.lv
![]()
I’ve done it!
The ISP is not blocking Winbox. That would be silly. But this remark made me think I could put the address in winbox and try…
It worked.
But this is a nice example of how we are left in the desert at times because explanations are not always claerly given in this forum.
The forum is for 90% about telnet/console/terminal sessions so I never thought winbox was the program here to use!
Apart from that, this is really the first time I see a name beeing resolved in the winbox program… never new this was an option.
I’m 99% sure the ROS manual doesn´t mention it let alone the Wiki or the manuals.
Mayby somewhere in a ‘hidden corner’ on the forum, but I haven’t seen it yet… (and I’m not a newby anymore.)
Thank you t3rm, indirect you gave some of us the right answer!
Thank you WirelessRudy i loged by winbox too,
Thanks again for your remark
