first L2TP UDP packet received from x.x.x.x

Hello,

Today I’ve done a very simple and quick setup between two pbx at two different locations. Dedicated wimax connection, RB951 with ether1 as WAN with dhcpclient, basic dhcp setup, local ip and nothing more. At one location i activated l2tp server with a user, and at the other one a l2tp client. As the RB are new I upgraded them to last v6.13 and RB firmware to 3.14. I’ve rebooted a few times to check everything was OK. I could ping/see both local and remote LAN from both sides.

A few hours later I logged in to open a few ports, and surprise, the l2tp tunnel is down. At the l2tp server site I can login to routerboard, everything looks ok, and I see at the log:

first L2TP UDP packet received from x.x.x.x

and this is repeating every 34 seconds. At the RB with the l2tp client I can’ login, it doens’t repond to pings, nothing, looks completly dead (Even i receive every few minutes the prior log msg).

Any idea what I can check why this happened??

Thanks

Pieter
