This may have already been covered (if so can someone point me in the right direction), but I have been unable to find an answer to my problem. I have a network running with hotspot configured. I have it so that the users are prompted with a welcome page, no login. They simply click continue and it behind the scenes logs them into a single guest account. All users obviously share this single account when logging it. I want to rate limit this, but I don’t want to rate limit it as a whole, but per a ip. I don’t want a single user to be able to hog all the bandwidth, I want it to be spread evenly amongst all logged in users. What is the best approach for this/ how can I do this?
Set the user profile under hotspot with a rate limit. Upon sign in the router will make a dynamic simple queue for that specific IP address to restrict their bandwidth.
