Google Only works with https

Hello everyone,

We are using RB450gs in our Hotels. They work great. I do have one issue, only at one property though. Google will only work if someone types in https://. All other sites work fine, it is only google that does not work. This RB is setup just like all of the others. We use 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 Google Dns public on all of our routers, as the Time Warner DNS was crapping out all of the time. All other networks are working fine.

Out of topic but why dont u use your ISP DNS

Do u use proxy?

Are you using a web proxy? The Google sites generally redirect http to https now, so it sounds as if something is causing problems for the redirects.

No web proxy. Just the built in Hotspot.

Time Warner’s DNS has always caused us problems. It got bad enough we migrated to the public DNS and have not had any issues.
