hAP ac2 after update doesn't work

Hallo,

I have a hAP Ac2 (RBD52G) and today i wanted to update FW. i used service - > packages and wanted to update “stable” version from 7.15 to 7.16.

After the reboot i saw, that it did not come back online. I tried connecting on ether3 but in winbox it did not show it. after 20min. i unpluged it and pluged it back but still nothing. i have also tried hard reset via button but still i can’t connect to it. I does not show in winbox.

i have noticed that when i have a PC connected into the port the led blinks, than after some time it turns off and in few seconds all leds flash. i presume it reboots.

is there anything i can do/try or will i need to take it to the service.? it is approx 2 month since i bought it new, so it is under warranty.

You can try to reset it to default configuration using the reset button during power-up, I had one or two cases where this helped recover the device after update. If that does not help, you can also try to netinstall the device, but if you never tried netinstall before, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work at first try, it is very important to disable all other network interfaces except the one the Mikrotik device is connected to.
