hap AC2

Hi..
Since I’m no expert. I guess this Is no sweat for many of you… Is there an logic answer to why I can’t find and connect my hap ac2 to my mANTBox 15s.. I had no problem doing so with an old Jensen router I found in my old tech scrapyard.. But when I’m searching for networks on the hap.. I cant find any of my 2, 5 GHz outdoor antennas, (but all my 5 GHz indoor routers, (and my neighbors indoor routers)) Oki.. That old Jensen does the work, but I wanted to speed up a little bit. And it starts to annoy me a little since I don’t see the logic in it.. I’ve tried to connect the hap to my indoor devices and that was no sweat. And I have tried to reconfigured my mANTBox in many ways, so I’m out of ideas. Phones, computers, and that old Jensen connect well to the mANTBox but the hap can’t even find the ssid..
By the way.. Newest stable firmware, and router os on both devices..

When searching for the network, make sure you are using wlan2 interface on you hAP ac².

Also make sure your wireless installation type is set to “Any” or “Outdoor” rather than “Indoor”.

Are you using “quickset CPE” mode? I am almost (but not 100%) sure that if so,
the “station WLAN” interface used to connect to another AP is 2.4Ghz. That is where you see the various SSID!
The 5GHz interface is used for the local AP function.
If I am right (don;t have one hap ac2 at hand to check ), you just need to configure it by hand via Winbox.

… and you may also need to set the Country (regulatory domain, also set the antenna gain to minimal 3 … or the country will not be accepted).
Not all freq are available in all regions! Check the mANTBox 15s for this setting.

Hi tanks for many good replies.! I haven’t checked all your suggestions yet, but here is what I have tried.. I have antenna gain 4 on the hap.. And 10 on the mANTBox. And since I’m from Norway I have it on both antennas.. (tried many different countries as well, just to check) . I’ve tried to connect it manually and by using the quick set.. Both places I checked that it was searching on 5 GZh.. The mANTBox is set on outdoor, but I must check the hap settings. (when I get back home.. (I think it’s on “Any”))
The most logic answer is that it have something to do with the frequency, but both boards have the same range (5150 – 5875 MHz) And both are set to country Norway..
First thing I do tomorrow is trying out your suggestions, and going through the settings one more time on the hap to see if there is something I have overlooked.. And if I’m still stuck.. Well I’ve always use for one extra router in my cowshed.
