HAP AX Lite LTE6 discontinued. Successor?

I just found out that the HAP AX Lite LTE6 is discontinued. Is there a successor for this device (which is also affordable).

https://mikrotik.com/product/hap_ax_lite_lte6

depends on your definition of affordable.
For $10+- more you can get

https://mikrotik.com/product/chateau_lte7

Only for the record, 119-99=20

for the record +-

16MB Flash? No thank you

Strange though… it’s a recent device and it has already been discontinued :frowning:

Tbh I never understood the role it played in the portfolio, given Chateau existed

I think it is the 2.4 GHz only that made it (probably) not selling enough, notwithstanding the very low price.

There are a lot of people that want 5 GHz because:
a. is cool
b. has less issues with interferences in crowded areas (but won't go threough walls like 2.4 GHz)
c. is faster (in theory)

If one forgets the built-in radio and uses it as a "LTE modem" only, for $ 99 is (was) still a good, little device.

The Chateau LTE7 is considered the official ‘replacement’ for the hAP AX lite LTE6, although it does come in at a slightly higher cost and you lose ax (if that matters to you).

AND you get 1 more ethernet port and a USB port.
BUT you get some -112 Mb more storage , this is (IMHO) a very relevant issue.

The chateau is simply too big for me. It needs to fit inside an EV charger.

LtAP mini?

I'm using LTAP MINI with internal LTE18 modem with esim support. Great portable device.

I just found the KNOT Embedded LTE4. https://mikrotik.com/product/knot_embedded_lte4

This one fits perfectly for my needs

An extra ethernet port would be nice though.

Hey there,

to be very honest although i like mikrotik very much but:

I wouldn't invest in Cat6 products anymore, especially for LTE. You'd be better off getting a Cat12+ or, even better, a Cat18 device.

For example, you could continue using the hAP ax lite as an access point and connect the ATL LTE18 as a modem. (or any other LTE modem / Outdoor LTE Modem)

I previously had the SXTR LTE6 (also Cat6 LTE) and now I'm on the ATL, and it's like night and day.

Cat6 is more than enough for an EV charger (my use case)

Im Sorry, missed that Part :folded_hands:
