Hello everyone,
Having a weird issue, any input would be highly appreciated.
I’ve disposed of my very old ASUS RT-G32 a month ago and got a hAP lite as the main networking device at home which suits my needs - basic simple connectivity. Configured initally and worked perfectly for the first 3 weeks, connecting to ISP via PPPoE, then to laptop via wireless most of the time.
For the past week or so, on-and-off (hours at a time) it happens that there is No Link on the port where ISP connects, as such zero data on interface counter during these timeframe. Config wasn’t tweaked since first configured.
Connecting the cable to any of the other interfaces changes nothing.
However, connecting ISP into the laptop works just fine. Similarly, connecting the laptop to ANY of the device’s ports (ISP unplugged, so basically just a LAN) works okay, so it doesn’t seem to be a physical issue, especially since behaviour is intermittent. ISP have stated that there’s no abnormality on their end + since there’s a link present when connected to laptop and PPPoE dials just fine, issue’s with the router.
All of this has first been tested with latest stable release at time of purchase and initial config which worked fine (bought about a month ago, don’t recall version). After this, tested older stable releases along with latest RC which is now installed.
I’ve attached supout.rif, if it helps.
