Hi all,
I am using two crs125-24g-1s-in as switches only, everything relevant configured under /interface ethernet switch … to keep all processing in hardware.
Intention:
The original intention was to have 4-port (or at least 2-port) link aggregation as inter-switch connection, configured in hardware (/interface ethernet switch trunk). Apparently, static port aggregation should be supported. Over that, traffic in multiple tagged VLANs should be exchanged between switches.
Outcome:
However, when configured and connected as intended, the connectivity between hosts connected to these switches (or even to the same switch) can be described as “spotty” at best. Once switched back to single port interswitch link, the network started behaving normally.
Question:
Any suggestion what might have caused that and/or how to overcome it?
Thank you,
Bostjan
PS: Please do not suggest CPU-based solutions, I know they work reliably, but available bandwidth drops below what single hw-switched 1Gbps port can provide due to CPU overload.
