I’m way out of my element here since I’ve never even experimented with any of this.
I recently purchased an RM530N modem and enclosure. Popped a spare t-mobile SIM card in it, and with practically no configuration, connected it to my rb5009 (ROS 7.16) via USB and had internet access.
From what I can tell the modem has its own router/gateway built in and automatically hands out a 192.0.0.2 ip. The few AT commands I’ve issued it work just fine.
The only thing that I can’t seem to get working is SMS. Neither sending nor receiving works and in the logs all I see is “lte1 mbim: >>> E #25 - sms: send, error: FAILURE”. I don’t know what the error means and how to fix it. Any ideas? TIA
