No, but the CPEs have to be RouterOS with nstreme enabled.
does it help to use wireless test package because i tried nstreme and my ping times went through the roof (40-400 ms) all the time without data and without nstreme pings were (1-10 ms)
Pings will be more stable once you start flowing data across the link.
Hello, in my case I have several nodes with 40 - 50 - 60 CPE Nstreme enabled ping is 20-300ms, now I’m trying to 1 node has 50 CPE Nanoloco5 and disabled Nstreme see is that ping 2-7 ms.
Mikrotik’d do something Nstreme to support more clients and better quality of ping 
Tell me if you get better results without wireless test..
